Our Partners
We believe our partnerships are a means of providing our customers with choice while enabling LISS to retain dynamism and creativity in its area of expertise.
Siemens Information Systems Ltd (SISL)
LISS and SISL have formed a strategic partnership to market and support the LISSIA system on a worldwide basis. Based in India, SISL is a one-stop IT partner providing both core and contact centre support for the application.
The partnership with SISL allows LISS to offer a complete back office solution to our clients. SISL can provide core technical support and also a first level helpdesk for LISSIA where more local services are appropriate. Our customers will have access to the services and resources of this large, multinational, computer services organisation, in close conjunction with their use of the LISSIA system. LISS and SISL are building a joint capability to develop and support the LISSIA system. The partnership also offers the potential for future economies based on lower Indian rates for computer services.
SISL have particular expertise in related technologies, such as web-enabled operation, CRM and workflow management, and we are working very closely with them to fully exploit the concept of LISSIA as a 'hub' system surrounded by these related technologies.
In addition, SISL have significant depth of resource in project management, application support, system implementation and rollout, and offshore development - products and services that add significantly to the core administrative environment, together with the resources and capability to support any level of regional business expansion our customers require.

Computer Associates
LISSIA ca smart certification
The LISSIA system is built on AllFusion:Gen technology from Computer Associates. Our system has been certified ca smart with AllFusion Gen from Computer Associates. This certifies that LISS have used the AllFusion Gen toolset effectively and appropriately in ways that utilise the strengths of the product.
CA are heavily committed to the AllFusion Gen product, and it will continue to be upgraded and improved. As many large companies and international computer service organisations use it extensively for the development and maintenance of systems, there is also a large and well-defined market in AllFusion Gen development skills.
For the insurance customer, the business advantages of the AllFusion Gen development tool are:
- Scalability and Platform/Database independence - AllFusion Gen provides the ability to deploy on a wide range of hardware and software. LISSIA can be adapted from its initial configuration designed for PC/network environments, to accommodate extremely high volume environments, where it could be used in conjunction with Unix / Oracle or IBM Mainframe / DB2. This means that LISSIA easily fits within an existing IT Strategy, but can also grow with the business. The system is usually deployed in Client Server configuration but can be generated in any configuration from 100% Client to 100% Server, so the system can be run on anything from a single standalone PC, to a large local area network or a wide area network.
- Robust run time code - In this technical environment the role of the developer is no longer to write code, but to develop business models defining the rules and information that drive the business processes. The development tool then automatically generates the computer code that provides the functionality for the business model. As the code is machine generated, human error is avoided.
- Future proofing - A key benefit of AllFusion Gen is that it is kept in step with database and operating system software upgrades. The risk of technical obsolescence for the LISSIA system is therefore eliminated, whether deployment has been under Microsoft-based or Java-based standards.
- Flexibility - LISSIA can also be compiled into a number of different programming languages, including C, Cobol and Java. This reinforces its flexibility in being able to move across platforms and databases. With full support for Java it means that LISSIA is suitable for both conventional and Internet based operations.
Generali Worldwide International
LISS has also partnered with Generali International in Guernsey for development of the LISSIA Group system for both Pensions and Risk. The final phase of this development is intended to go live towards the end of 2005.
